Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye and midfielder, Alex Iwobi, were subjected to cyberbullying by fans, including death threats, after Nigeria’s exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon on Sunday following a 1-0 defeat to Tunisia. Youssef Msakni scored the only goal of the encounter with a strike from 25 yards out to fire Tunisia to the last eight and break Nigerian hearts. NYSC DG Seeks FG Approval For Trust Fund

The Director-General of National Youth Service Corp, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has appealed to the Federal Government to approve the establishment of the NYSC Trust Fund for the benefit of corps members. The Bill on the proposed Trust Fund has passed the second reading at the House of Representatives, Abuja. The DG, according to a statement issued by the NYSC Deputy Director (Press and Public Relations), Emeka Mgbemena, stated these in Abuja on Sunday while on a Live programme, ‘Journalists’ Hangout’ on TVC. The Academic Staff Union of Universities has postponed its decision on strike, saying that consultations are still ongoing. This was contained in a press statement issued by the union after its National Executive Council meeting. An operator of a gambling house resident in Ikire, Osun State, simply identified as Seyi, has reportedly committed suicide by setting himself ablaze. It was gathered that the deceased, whose kiosk is located in the Centre area of Ikire, locked himself up in his gambling kiosk and set himself on fire.
