Court Has Declared Bandits As Terrorists, Gazetting To Be Concluded Soon – Malami

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), says the Federal Government is yet to officially designate bandits as terrorists because the government is following international best practices. He said his office was in the process of gazetting a court judgement that ordered the government to declare bandits as terrorists, adding that the process would be concluded in a matter of days. AFCON: Ndidi, Iwobi, Troost-Ekong, Iheanacho Five Others Arrive, 23 Players Now In Camp

Leicester City duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, William Troost-Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Alex Iwobi are among nine players who have arrived at the Super Eagles Abuja camp for the 2021 AFCON. Also currently in camp are the quartet of Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Semi Ajayi and Kelechi Nwakali. The current arrivals means 23 players are now in camp ahead of the continental showpiece in Cameroon. The autopsy report conducted on the corpse of late Sylvester Oromoni, alleged victim of bullying, at the Dowen College, Lagos, is out. The report however, exonerated the school’s House Master and other students  arrested in connection with the alleged murder. Governor Hope Uzodimma will use the occasion of the sixth edition of Imo stakeholders forum scheduled to hold on Tuesday to name those who are sponsors and financiers of insecurity in the state. Isa Idris: Scarcity Of Passport Booklets Will End By March 2022

Isa Idris, acting comptroller-general of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), says the delay in passport processing as a result of booklet scarcity will be over by March. Speaking on Saturday during a media interaction, he blamed the challenge of delayed passport production on the coronavirus pandemic and the accompanying global lockdown, and also the difficulty in accessing foreign exchange in the country. Armed Robbers Kill Augustine Ekanem In Akwa Ibom After Snatching His Car

Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have killed a broadcaster with the Akwa Ibom State Broadcasting Corporation, (AKBC) Uyo, Mr Augustine Ekanem. It was gathered that Ekanem alias “Talk and laugh” and "Country Man" was shot dead at about 8:30pm on Thursday, December 30, at a filling station and his car was snatched from him at gun point. According to eye witness account, the robbers killed the journalist when they sighted him making frantic calls while they were driving away after snatching his car.
