Ortom’s Convoy Involved In Car Crash, Lawmakers Sustain Injury

The convoy of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State was involved in an auto crash on Friday as many people including two Benue State House of Assembly members sustained injury. The road mishap took place in the early hours of Friday when Ortom and the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were travelling to the Utokon community of Ado Local Government Area in continuation of the party’s governorship campaign rally. Punch reports that the mishap took place when the driver of a branded bus fully occupied by PDP supporters lost control and ran into three vehicles; a Jeep, a security vehicle, and another bus in the convoy. Benue Gov’s Convoy Involved In Auto Crash In Abuja

The convoy of Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has been involved in an auto crash in Abuja on Sunday. This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Terver Akase, noting that there was no casualty in the crash. Benue state governor Samuel Ortom has defected from the APC. Ortom announced his departure from the party on Sunday at the government house while he was swearing in his new Special Adviser on Local Government and Cheftaincy Affairs, Jerome Torshimbe.
