The All Progressives Congress has barred political appointees from voting at its national convention holding on Saturday. The party made this known in a press statement on Thursday. The statement was titled, ‘Attention to political office holders who were elected as delegates’. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday moved ex-Governor Willy Obiano from Lagos to Abuja for quizzing over alleged N42 billion fraud. Obiano was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja on Thursday night a few hours after he handed over power to Prof. Charles Soludo in Awka, and subsequently lost his immunity from arrest. The Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership, CACOL, on Friday, hailed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for arresting former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos. Obiano was reportedly on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas in the United States after handing over to his successor, Governor Charles Soludo. The commission failed to mention the names of the concerned firms in the letter written to the lawmaker. The commission gave Nwaoboshi a two weeks ultimatum to refund the funds to its account.
