#EndSARS Protest: The Journey Of The Lions And Eagles My fellow brave youths of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I salute you all on this third week of #EndSARS protest. We started well until the Nigeria government betrayed themselves. Let it be known that every violent attack at the ongoing protest are done by government paid agents to discredit the peaceful protesters. To this effect, we have studied the whole scenario going on since #EndSars protest started. There are three groups in the recent event, namely: 1.The #EndSars protesters which have remained peaceful 2.The Thugs and Hoodlums hired by Nigerian Politicians to counter the peaceful #EndSars protesters with violent attack 3.The Gangsters/thugs the Nigeria politicians armed during election and has been using them si...

Press Release: For the Records – What VP Osinbajo Said on Kidnapping

Nowhere was the word exaggerated used Our attention has been drawn to misleading reports in a section of the media purportedly made by and attributed to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on the security situation in Nigeria, in New York.  For the purpose of clarity, and the records it is pertinent to state that Prof. Osinbajo was entirely misquoted and his words taken out of context in the said media reports especially those that quoted him as saying that "Kidnapping in Nigeria is exaggerated and not entirely new"  Nowhere in the Vice President's remarks at the townhall meeting with the Nigerian community did he use the word "exaggerated," not even by implication.  His remarks about the social media being hysterical was a general response to comments made by participants at th...

Press Release: The Issuance of Bench Warrant Against Me Is an Abuse of Process Taken Too Far- Innoson

Filed Notice of Appeal and Motion for Stay of Execution Against The Order. The issuance of bench warrant against me by the Federal High Court Ikoyi Lagos, today, June 24th 2019 is an abuse of process taken too far by the Court and made without jurisdiction. The order itself is a nullity and does not have grounds on law. Firstly, there is no prima facie case against me. The charge was based on suspected or trumped up action of Innoson Nigeria Ltd and Innoson Nigeria Ltd was a party originally to the charge but was discharged by the Court of Appeal. Secondly, there was no notice of trial served on me pursuant to the Administration of Criminal Justice Act. The act provides that before the court should issue a bench warrant, there must be proof of service of the charge and the notice ...

Nigeria: PDP Demands Immediate Release of Kwara Senator Ibrahim

…Charges Members To Resist Intimidation The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demands the immediate and unconditional release of our Kwara South Senatorial candidate, Senator Rufai Ibrahim and other members of the party framed-up, arrested and detained by the Police in Kwara state. The PDP holds that the continued detention of Senator Ibrahim on the eve of a crucial election, in which he is a lead contender, is completely provocative. The party also cautions the police to stop harassing, arresting and detaining its members on flimsy charges, as such will directly pitch security agents against the people in a manner that might spark off violent resistance with regrettable consequences. This resort to police brutality by the APC is a script by a losing team which seeks to introduce vi...

Press Release: PDP To Buhari Presidency: False Alarm Will Not Help You

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says no amount of fabrications, false alarm, blackmail and resort to violence by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Buhari Presidency can sway Nigerians or help their plots to rig the 2019 Presidential election. The party says the Buhari Presidency’s fresh attempt to use its chief propagandist, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, to lay further false allegations on the PDP has failed, because Nigerians already know those plotting to scuttle the elections by inciting violence and issuing death threats against others. What has Lai Mohammed to say to President Muhammadu Buhari, who in Zamfara state on Sunday, urged his supporters to get ready to fight and unleash violence on other Nigerians? What has Lai Mohammed to say t...

SASU Condemns the Violent and Criminal Actions of the Zimbabwean Government on its People and Student Leaders

The Southern African Student Union (SASU) is utterly disgusted and dismayed by the ongoing criminal behaviour being carried out by security forces in Zimbabwe. The corrupt Zimbabwean government continues to cripple its own economy and creates its own problems, this is owing to a failure to manage the economy and other geopolitical factors. Zimbabwean citizens like all other civilians in a democratic state have the right to protest, a right which is protected by the constitution of that country and an established practice globally. It is criminal and unjust for the regime of President Mnangwangwa to respond to the peoples outcry, by use of the military, for the military is trained to protect borders and not instill fear and discipline amongst its people. The abuse of the security cluster...
