BREAKING: Hoodlums Attack TVC in Lagos

Irate hoodlums have attacked Television Continental (TVC) headquarters in Lagos State on Wednesday (today). The thugs thronged the entrance of the Television station in Ikosi-Ketu area of Lagos and tried breaking in to the broadcast station. The attack on TVC, speculated to be owned by APC national leader, Bola Tinubu disrupted the broadcast of the station as programmes scheduled for Wednesday morning were delayed. The development comes after scores of #EndSARS protesters were killed on Tuesday by alleged security operatives in some parts of Lagos, notably at the Lekki Toll Gate. Some Nigerians have fingered Tinubu as one of the masterminds in the shooting of young Nigerians who are asking for an end to police brutality and reform of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the shooting that occurred at Lekki, Lagos State in the late hours of Monday. Fani-Kayode said that the officer who masterminded the shooting, Geneneral Omata, alongside President Buhari, Tukur Burutai, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Bola Tinubu, Yemi Osinbajo among others will be tried at the International Court of Criminal Justice (ICC) at some point. Sanwolu-Olu Grants Funke Akindele and Husband Pardon Over Breach of COVID-19 Regulations

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State has pardoned Nollywood actress, Mrs Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bello, who were both arrested and detained over breach of COVID-19 lockdown regulations. Sanwo-Olu also granted state pardon to 56 inmates from different prisons in the state. Lagos has witnessed fresh explosion as Best Roof Cooking Gas plant exploded on Thursday in the Baruwa community of the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State. The explosion which happened around 5:45am on Thursday led to the death of four persons while scores were injured in the explosion which occurred around Unity Bus-Stop on Candos Road, Baruwa. Muslim students in Lagos State have appealed to government to provide palliatives for private schools to avert job losses occasioned by adverse effect of COVID-19 on private schools. The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has said that the Bell 206-B3 that crashed on Salvation Road, Opebi in the Ikeja area of Lagos State has no black box.
