Ibrahim Musa Gusau Elected as New NFF President

Ibrahim Musa Gusau has been elected as the new President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after an election was conducted on Friday. The newly elected President got 21 votes to defeat his closest contender, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who managed 12 votes. Coming in third place, League Management Committee Chairman, Shehu Dikko, ended up with only six votes. Breaking: APC Committee Disqualifies Governor Obaseki from Contesting Primary Election

The screening committee set up by the All Progressive Congress (APC) has disqualified incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki from contesting the party’s forthcoming primary election. The chairman of the screening panel- Jonathan Ayuba disclosed this update during presentation of their report to the national chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Friday. The committee screened six aspirants which included Obaseki, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Pius Odubu, chris Ogiemwonyi, Osaro Obazee and Mathew Iduoriyekemwen. Ayuba disclosed three aspirants were cleared for the primary on 22 June while two other candidates were disqualified alongside Obaseki.
