Oliseh for Super Eagles coach

Following the sack of former Super Eagle’s coach Stephen Keshi, news reaching us is that the NFF is in serious talks with former Super Eagles’ captain Sunday Oliseh for the possibility of having him take up the job. Oliseh is a known face on the Supersports team of analyst but has not really been linked with any major club side. He however has a Uefa Pro Licence.

The NFF is under pressure to appoint a new coach after the sack of Keshi. Looking at the local scene, it is difficult to see any other coach who can easily take on the job. Siasia briefly handled the job without success. Besides, he is now the head coach of the U-23 side. Other than getting a foreign coach, Oliseh seems to be the only other logical choice.

Talk is cheap, but choices are made based on verbal presentations first. If Oliseh performs as well as he talks about the game, then he would do well as the head coach of the Super Eagles. Nigerians now await a final decision from the NFF. Will Oliseh emerge the coach after all? A lot of people are certainly eager to see how well Oliseh will perform if the  baton is handed over to him.

Gilbert Okwudili Moyosola Ibe Well, though he has no experience, he has the knowledge and command some respect. I think he should be given the chance to prove himself on the job.
