World Cup: Messi Crashes Out as Argentina Loses 4:3 to France

The Argentine team lost 4:3 to their French counterparts in a tense round of 16 game. The French took the lead in the 13th from the penalty spot when Griezmann converted the spot kick won by Mbappe.

Di Maria equalized for the Argentinians in the 41st minute through a beauty of a shot from outside the 18-yard box. The first half ended in a 1:1 draw.

The Argentinians took the lead in the 48th minute through Mercado. It took the French 9 minute to level up through a wonderful volley shot in from outside the 18-yard box by Pavard.

Mbappe put France in the lead in the 64th minute and 4 minutes later, he went ahead to double their lead. With the French leading by 4:2, they relaxed and Aguero was able to head in the third for Argentina in the 3rd minute of additional time.

The Argentinians nearly got in a 4th shortly after this, but this was not to be as France won 4:3.
