Gani Avoided Ooni’s 1st year Anniversary For fear Of Retribution

For sometimes now, the National Coordinating Council of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC has decided not to fish in the same water with the likes of Gani Adams and his fellow morons left in his heavily depleted faction of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC.

However, our silence has been misconstrued to be act of ‘tactical withdrawal’ and timidity. While members of the NCC have been busy putting the crumbled house Gani Adams left us in order and also fashion ways to improve the welfare of members and peaceful co-existence in Yorubaland; a professional interloper in the name of Segun Akanni who in recent time has assumed the role of ‘errand boy’ as well as Gani Adams’ ‘attack dog’ committed fallacies of unwarranted assumptions on the reason why his paymaster was absent at the first year coronation of Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II).

In an incoherent statement released by Segun Akanni, while defending his boss absence at the first year anniversary of Ooni, he said: “Otunba Gani Adams’ absence at the first year coronation anniversary was as a result of the Inauguration of 77th Chapter of Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) in Malaysia, which the date has been fixed over six months ago.

Whoever that has visited Malaysia would know the journey to Malaysia by Air normally takes up to eighteen to twenty two hours, depending on the hours of transit.

Before we embarked on the journey, we tried to shift the date of inauguration just to attend one of the outlined programmes to celebrate the first year anniversary of Kaabiesi but all efforts proove abortive. The OPU members in Malaysia have spent millions of naira on the preparations of the event.

Mr. Moses Olafare, The Director of Media and Communication to Kaabiesi Ooni can testify to this. I spoke with the him for about three times.

The annual Oodua Festival slated for 26th of January at the Palace Square in Ile-Ife has the blessing and support of Kaabiesi Ooni of Ife.

I, therefore, advise people to disregard any misinformation regarding the relationship between Kaabiesi Ooni and Otunba Gani Adams. Now the questions Gani Adams and his co-travelers in the game of deceit should proffer answers to are as follows: If Gani’s journey to Malaysia had been fixed six months ago; does it mean that Gani and his team don’t even know when Ooni assumed the throne and when the first year coronation anniversary will likely take place?

Let us even assume that Gani and his team had a more important event to attend in the Malaysia as claimed by ‘habitual liar’ in person of Segun- does it mean that Gani Adams took the entire brainwashed remnant members of OPC to Malaysia? Okay, if that is even the case which we know is not possible- what will it cost Gani Adams to send a representative to Ooni’s first year coronation anniversary?

Segun’s flimsy excuse at the behest of his paymaster has not only shown that Gani Adams is no longer in control of OPC as he wants all Yoruba sons and daughters to believe. While OPC was represented at the event and was accorded the proper recognition by the royal father;  Gani’s absence at the event was deliberate. He was afraid of nemesis and deliberately avoided a retribution for his past evil deeds at the Ooni’s palace years back.

It is on record that Gani Adams instigated a bloody violence at the front of Ooni’s palace on December 12, 1999. Gani’s reason for inciting the violence was because he believed that Chief Fredrick Faseun was accorded so much respect to him by the late Ooni.

In the bloody violence instigated by Gani Adams while trying to kill Fredrick Faseun on December 12, 1999, many lives were lost, including the lives of innocent indigenes of Ile-Ife. Gani Adams has a history of inciting bloody mayhem in Yorubaland. If he had forgotten, we would like to remind him of the many bloody crises he instigated in Lagos, Ibadan, Owo and even in his supposed hometown in Arigidi in Ondo state.

The National Coordinating Council Of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, New Era uses this medium  to challenge Gani Adams to a public debate to counter or deny these sundry allegations. Or perhaps, he should go court if these allegations were not true.

Lastly, we urge all members of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC to know that Gani Adams’ era of inciting bloody violence has gone. We are now making efforts to restructure and reposition OPC to meet the dreams and aspirations of all sons and daughters of Yorubaland.
