Nigeria: Missing Chibok Girls - Buhari Showed No Empathy, No Connection, Just Coldeness - Aisha Yesufu

One of the conveners of the Bring Back Our Girls group on her twitter page expressed shock and surprise at how Mr President handled his meeting with the parents of the missing Chibok girls and the BBOG group.

Aisha Yesufu's tweet According to Aisha Yesufu’ tweet, “PMB @NGRPresident was upset and  ended up being defensive nistead of being in charge and reassuring and for  the first time, I saw an old man.”

In another tweet she said “PMB @NGRPresident walked out of the  Banquet all with no glance at the parents shell shocked. No empathy, No  connection, Just coldness.” Aisha Yesufu's tweet 2

In yet another tweet, she said “PMB @NGRPresident kept talking about  the fact that #ChibokGirls were abducted in the last administration.”

Tweeting via her tweeter handle @AishaYesufu, Aisha Yesufu showed a total loss of confidence in Mr President’s ability to make good on his promises.

What does this mean and what does it say about this administration’s promise to rescue the Chibok girls weeks after taking power? It is beginning to appear that all those promises were never meant to be kept.

Nigerians will no be watching to see if the BBOG group will begin to organize a sit-out like they did during the last administration. Knowing that Buhari does not have any problems locking people up regardless of human rights violation, members of the group may not want to risk arrest.

Nigeria and indeed the world is watching to see how this issue will be resolved.
