Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna has called for prayers to and divine intervention as the solutions to Nigeria’s many problems. Speaking with his state’s chapter of  Jamatu Nasril Islam (JNI) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) when they paid him a courtesy visit. According to him, the past administration left the state broke so they need divine intervention to be able to restore the economy of the state.

It will be recalled that El-Rufai was one of the most vocal voices from the APC against both the person of the past President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP. APC promises ‘change’ and a revamping of Nigeria’s economy and the restoration of things that had been run down by the 16 years of PDP rule. There was however no mention of divine intervention being required when the campaigns were on.

It appears that now that the APC has taken power, the reality of the task ahead and what they promised the masses has hit home and they are getting nervous. Promised were made and Nigerians will hold them to their promises. Prayers have been called for and prayers should be offered and actions taken to ensure that things begin to get better for Nigerians.
