‘PDP Has Brought Us Shame’ – Ayu Criticizes His Party

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, on Thursday said ‘the PDP has brought us shame'. Ayu said this in error at the party’s campaign rally at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano State while speaking on why the people of the state should not cast their vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC. However, the PDP chairman after a few seconds corrected himself and said “APC” in place of PDP. The Federal Government has ratified 67 new broadcast licences for radio and television stations nationwide. This was disclosed by the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Mallam Balarabe Ilelah on Thursday. Ilelah urged broadcasters not to relent abiding by the NBC Act, the Nigeria Broadcasting Code, the Electoral Act, and any extant law that guides media operations to ensure that the general election is free, fair, and credible.
