Tinubu Endorses Sanwo-Olu For Second Term

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will this weekend kick-off his declaration for a second term at the national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja. A prominent member of the Governors Advisory Council (GAC) who is also one of the apex leaders of APC in Lagos state, told newsmen on Sunday that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos state governor had endorsed Sanwo-Olu for a second term and had instructed the party leaders to work for his reelection. “Sanwo-Olu is coming back. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has not appointed Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, as the General Manager of the Lagos Transport Parks and Garages Committee, the governor’s aide, Jubril Gawat, has said. Gawat, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, in a post on Friday, debunked viral reports, that the governor appointed Akinsanya, the suspended chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers Union in Lagos. Lagos Announces Closure Of Roads In Marina Friday for Shonekan’s Burial

The Lagos State Government has said it will be diverting traffic along Inner Marina to Outer Marina by Oando Filling Station due to the burial service of the late former Head of Interim Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan. The diversion will begin from 5.00 am till 6.00 pm on Friday, 4th February 2022. Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde explained that all adjoining and feeder roads leading to Inner Marina road to Nitel building would be cordoned off. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday officially launched the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support (APPEALS) Project’s Women and Youth Empowerment Programme (WYEP), empowering 1,786 farmers with N3,635,580,000 seed capital to start an agriculture-based venture in three value chains of aquaculture, rice and poultry. The 1,786 farmers, including women, youths and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) were empowered under the APPEALS Project to execute their approved Business Investment Plan, which has a provision for the employment of at least one person. The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved a multimillion Naira upgrade of key infrastructure at the Lagos Television (LTV) as part of a comprehensive plan to reposition the State-owned television station for national and international competitiveness. According to a release by Mr. Rasaq Musbau, the Director, Public Affairs, Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA), the Project Management Team from the Agency recently went on an inspection tour of the complex and expressed satisfaction with the pace of work.
