Nigeria: Buhari Reinstates NPA Boss Sacked By Jonathan

President Buhari sacked the Nigerian Ports Authority MD appointed by Former President, Goodluck Jonathan towards the end of his administration. Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero was removed by Buhari and replaced by  Mr. Habibu Abdullahi who President Buhari reinstated.

In a statement released by Mr Femi Adesina Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, he said the sack was with immediate effect. According to Mr Adesina,  “he is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi, who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by Buhari.”

The statement went to say “Buhari wishes Bayero well in his future endeavours.”

Bayero who is the son of the late Emir of Kano is the latest to be axed by the new administration.
