A video which went viral in South Africa today June 18 2015 has raised some concerns. The big question being asked now is whether truly racism and segregation is dead in South Africa. The video which was taken of students of a private school in Pretoria – Curro Foundation School Roodeplaat – on an excursion to a Safari camp, showed that the students might have been separated based on colour.

Of the two buses shown in the video, one had mainly white students while the other had black students. Even when the students alighted, the white students went in a separate direction from the black students. The video has caused a campaign with hash tag #CurroMustFall.

This is the second time the school is being accused of racism and is now being looked into by the ministry of education. When he was asked to comment on this, Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng Education Minister said he felt disgusted by the situation. He has promised that a decision will be reached after he has received the findings of the investigation that has been initiated.
