Boko Haram attacks RCCG

A female suicide bomber on Sunday July 5 2015 exploded in the midst of a congregation at a Redeemed Christian Church of God Parish in Potiskum, Yobe state killing at least five persons. There has been an increase in the rate of attacks associated with the insurgents. This is however the first time in a long while when a Church was attacked. In the recent past, attacks have been aimed at other locations and even mosques and clerics who are thought to be against the violent interpretation of Islam that these militants have.

In is worthy of note that the Church attacked in Potiskum is the denomination in which the Vice President is a Pastor. This is the first time that an RCCG parish is known to have been attacked by the insurgents. This attack at this time can open up avenues to insinuations and innuendos. One big question that can be asked is this. Is this a message of some kind to the Vice President? Only time will tell.
