Boko Haram kills 145

In one of the worst attacks in recent times, Boko Haram militants attacked several mosques in Kukawa, Northeast of Maiduguri. Almost 100 persons were killed in these attacks.

According to eye witnesses, residents of Kukawa were various mosques praying in conclusion of the day’s fast when the militants attacked. About 97 person were said to have been killed. Those killed were mainly men. The witnesses also said that the militants broke into people’s homes, killing women and children who were busy preparing the meals with which the fast was to be broken.

Before these attacks, Mussaram, another village about 35 Kilometers away from Kukawa village was attacked on tuesday night. According to reports from those who sorted the bodies, about 48 men and boys were killed in this attack while about 17 person escaped with injuries.

These two attacks which claimed about 145 lives and the twin suicide bomb attacks at a village in the outskirts of Maiduguri shortly before the arrival of the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo who was on an official visit to see those displaced by the Boko Haram war.

Yes it is sad to find that Buhari is busy moving command center than actually fighting BH who had been killing innocent Nigerians in an alarming rate since he was sworn in as President. Same BH GEJ pushed into sambisa before he handed over power to Buhari.
